I must have caught the photography bug about 8 or 9 years ago. At the time a friend of my brother (a press photographer) noted my interest and taught me the ropes. Over the next year I tagged along on jobs and photographed all kinds of things. From Alex Salmond’s rise to power to the lunar eclipse from the top of Arthur’s Seat at 3am. A bit of everything really. It wasn’t until I was asked to photograph my sister’s wedding a few years down the line that I thought I could pursue a career as a wedding photographer. From there things snowballed and within a year it became my main line of work. I admire portrait photography by Murdo Macleod, sports photographer Bob Martin and a list of wedding photographers too long to mention.
In my spare time I like to brew my own beer (American IPA fermenting at the mo), cook, listen to Radio 4 (sad I know), cycle long jaunts to nowhere and kayaking. Anyway, a bit of a backstory for you. I hope you enjoy looking through my website and of course feel free to get in touch regarding any matter on wedding photography or even to politely let me know of any typos you come across!
