I met with Vicki and Jordan for their engagement shoot at the parliament in Edinburgh and from there we took a stroll up Arthur’s Seat. Admittedly we only went half way up the Crag’s but we all appreciated the fresh air and the weather. It was a gorgeous winter’s day with an almost cloudless blue sky (something that every photographer would appreciate!). Vicki had chosen me as her wedding photographer after seeing photos from her friend’s wedding and got in touch with me to photograph their own upcoming wedding in Edinburgh.
Although you don’t need to have a pre-wedding or engagement shoot it is a great way to feel more comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day. I remember Jordan remarking that the shoot “wasn’t nearly as bad as he thought it would be”. I think he certainly appreciated the more laid back style of photography I offer and I’m very much looking forward to photographing their wedding at the George Hotel in Edinburgh. Here’s hoping we get another day of sunshine come wedding day! Below are some of my favourites and if you like what you see feel free to get in touch.
