Scroll down to see some relaxed wedding photography in Dundee or keep reading to hear all about Alex and Kevin’s wedding day. Let me start by saying a wedding held in your parent’s back garden might not appeal to everyone but Alex and Kevin certainly pulled of an amazing wedding day that both looked beautiful and was also a joy to attend. No doubt aided by all of the thoughtful décor and the coming together of two people (and families) in a touching celebration.
I started the day by photographing the back garden Marquee where the ceremony was to be held. After, I visited Alex at the local salon where she was busy getting ready. Kevin, on the other hand, had opted to meet with guests at the local pub called ‘The Newport’. With a lot of guests mingling it felt like they had temporarily taken the place over! It was then a short walk for me back to the garden where Alex was busy getting ready with the final touches. It was an emotional moment with her mother helping her into her dress and a few tears were certainly being held back!
The wedding day went perfectly to plan. The marquee in the garden provided a great backdrop for the ceremony and plenty of informal candid photography (my favourite!). I took the newlyweds down to the waterfront for a few photos together while guests had made their way to the reception held in the village hall. Guests were entertained to hilarious speeches aided by a few comic props and also a visit from a few firemen when the fire alarm went off! The dance floor was set for a night of dancing which guests certainly made the most of! If you’re considering wedding photography in Dundee then do not hesitate to get in touch.
