I do love when the sun comes out for a wedding day and it certainly did at Amy and Lewis’s big day at Craigsanquhar house hotel (not the easiest to spell!). By far one of my favourite local venues it is always a pleasure to shoot at this beautiful country house wedding venue.
The day started with preparations in the adjacent lodges. With the bride and groom getting ready in the same location I had plenty of fun going back and forth with the boys in one lodge and the girls in another capturing all the fun. Once Amy and the girls had their makeup applied they made the short walk back to the hotel for wedding dress fitting in the main suite. It was a tearful moment when her Dad saw her in her wedding dress for the first time! With the sun out the guests were treated to an outdoor ceremony on the lawn. Unfortunately, I had to curtail my photography of the wedding ceremony in respect of the minister’s wishes. However, we made up for it with a few sunset wedding photos later in the day. All in all, a great day was had by all.
