Yvonne and Jack could not have had better weather for their Atholl Palace wedding. It was the most gorgeous spring day in late March. In fact it was so sunny Jack had to move several times during his speech to avoid having the sun in his eyes! Yvonne had initially contacted me after seeing photos of a wedding I had shot at Kinkell Byre at which her sister was a bridesmaid. The wedding day went perfectly to plan and all the guests were treated to an emotional but uplifting ceremony. It was clear to everyone just how much the day meant to both Yvonne and Jack.
Atholl Palace is a traditional wedding venue ideal for larger weddings. The large reception room hosts a big dance floor which the guests certainly made full use of during the evening reception! I was also fortunate enough to enjoy some great nearby woodland walks the day before the wedding as I travelled to this beautiful wedding venue on the outskirts of the small town of Pitlochry. On the morning of the wedding I spent time documenting the bridal preparations. The room had a lovely set of French doors leading out to the back of the hotel giving an uninterrupted view of the landscape. I then met with the groomsmen for a few photos outside the hotel before the ceremony. For the bride and groom photos we spent some time in the grounds at the front of the hotel while we were accompanied by the videographer.
